List Of Pastors And Other Spiriualists Who Predicted 2015 Elections Outcome Woefully

Nigerian presidential elections has come and gone. But there are lessons to be learned, especially from our supposed “Men of God” who claimed that God himself revealed the outcome to them before the election. I want to remind you of what they said. Change has indeed come (hopefully), and we must hold both our political and religious leaders accountable for every word they speak.

Please read carefully and draw your own conclusion.

The Bible said, “Thou shall not take the name of your God in vain.” What are these men thinking now? Are these revelations really from God? Could He possibly be sending them contradictory messages? I know there are already explanations for all the false prophecies. But at this point, I must leave you to judge for yourselves.

1. Apostle Fredrick, Senior Pastor of Wonder City Chapel and President of the BB Frederick Ministries, Ghana

“Nigerians should watch out for the second term of His Excellency President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Although it looks very challenging with him and his ruling party now, yet the Lord says Nigerians shouldn’t lose hope in Jonathan.”

“As long as I’m concerned as a man gifted by God to see the past, the current and the future beyond the curtains of the natural, I know by the inspiration of the Almighty that President Jonathan is the set man for Nigeria. His next term on the seat will bring liberation to Nigeria.”

“It will bring hope to hopeless situations in Nigeria. On this account I therefore declare that HE Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will win the coming elections.”

2. Prophet Joshua Iginla

“No matter how powerful or well-organized 2015 election is, it will be faulted. I am not a politician nor belong to any political party, I am just speaking God’s mind. The person sitting on the seat might not be perfect, but he will retain the seat. It’s not guess-work. However, it will be a battle between the lion and the tiger…Shortly after the election, especially on the night of the election, there will be great vandalisation. I see cars being burnt, lives killed.”

“President Jonathan will win, but he has to pray about his health and so many political blows. I pray the two people who enter the Aso Villa will leave together. That’s why we should pray for the woman beside the president. The president and wife should pray that the first lady would finish the tenure together and not losing one before the end of their tenure.”

3. Apostle Johnson Suleiman

“I see president Goodluck Jonathan coming back but trouble… Patience Jonathan needs serious prayers.”

“2015 presidential election will be rigged, marred in violence and end up in court case. 2015 election is another June 12. The man who truly won will not govern or rule.”

4. Primate Theophilus Oluwasaanu Olabayo, founder, Evangelical Church of Yahweh

“To start with God has revealed to me that there may not be elections next year because in 2015, we are going to witness one of the worst political assassinations in Nigeria. God further informed me that the South West geo-political zone should be very careful so that the region would not be thrown into another era of wild, wild west because I saw political assassinations everywhere,” the founder of Evangelical Church of Yahweh foretold adding that, “if there will be elections next year in Nigeria, the seat of the president is not vacant.”

“God has revealed to me that if at all there is going to be presidential election, it will be inconclusive just like (the June 12,) that we had during the time of the late Chief MKO Abiola who flew the flag of the Social Democratic Party under the military administration of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.”

5. Prophet Michael Olubode

“I want to let the people of Nigeria know that the Lord will return His Excellency, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to his presidential seat. Despite many hatred for him, it pleases the Lord God of Celestial to increase his tenure at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock. The Lord revealed to me that the purpose of making him remain in government is to use him to build Nigeria’s economy. He will surely bring good luck to us.”

6. Apostle Dr. Ogochukwu Tochukwu Amaukwu

“If at all there will be election in 2015, I see President Goodluck Jonathan returning as president.”

“President Goodluck Jonathan is the last PDP president.”

“I see APC winning seventy percent(70%) of the seats but I see PDP taking the presidency.”

“If at all there will be election, APC will claim to have won the presidential election and will drag PDP to court.”

“APC will accuse President Goodluck Jonathan, PDP and INEC for rigging the election in favour of President Goodluck Jonathan, but the court will give it to Goodluck Jonathan.”

“There shall be a cry for a re-election.”

7.Josiah Chukwuma Onuoha of Christ Foundation Miracle International Chapel, Lagos

“The thing is that Buhari’s case will even be worse. Buhari has no grace to rule this country again. He is being pushed into it by selfish, diabolic elements. Let him go and seek God the way true Moslems do.”

8. Pastor Dapo Adeniyi

“Buhari has a good agenda to eradicate corruption in Nigeria. But it is unfortunate that he will not win the election. Though he will give (APC vs PDP) Goodluck Ebele Jonathan tough time. He will accuse PDP of rigging the election, go to court but justice will not prevail. What a pity. I see him fainting and uncooperative to ensure the peace of Nigeria after his defeat.”

9. Guru Maharaji

“There is no vacancy for Buhari at Aso Rock”

“President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is the verifiable divine choice of the forthcoming presidential election. As the Living Perfect Master of creation in whose hands the fate of Nigerian project lies spiritually, I declare divinity’s decision to return Jonathan to Aso Rock over Muhammadu Buhari.”

“I had publicly and sufficiently advised Buhari against nursing the ambition to rule Nigeria again. Superior forces are actually in-charge of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I am at the helm of these great and unseen primordial powers of creation.”

10. Dr. Okhue Iboi, National coordinator and spokesman of Witches and Wizards Association of Nigeria (WITZAN)

“I don’t see General Mohammadu Buhari ruling this country. We don’t have a political party but if anyone seeks our help, we shall render it. There was a time witches in Benue State invited other witches across the country to offer prayers for the Senate President, David Mark, against impeachment. We flew to Otukpo and later to a village called Owetor. That was where we offered the prayers.”

10 Crazy Things We Love About Lagos

The ying of the lagos yang

Joedams' Blog

Lagos, Traffic, Crazy, City

In Lagos city, being normal is crazy, in a way. So it is not out of place to witness some cracked up scenes which, in normal climes, it will be out of place but here in our city, we take them as normal occurrences. And boy, we love our Lagos. Lagos is quite a unique place to live in. It is only in Lagos city that you find that things are done in a unique way.

We have our passion for Pomo, that delicious cow skin that is an indispensable part of our meals; at every street corner, you find the woman that roasts Boli, (plantain), and groundnut, the street fast food that does a lot service for hustling guys; every street has two or three beer palour that serves drinks soaked in water coolers that serves as refrigerators; not to talk of the accompanying pepper soups with all kinds…

Ex-Kano Governor, Shekarau, Dumps APC For PDP- PREMIUM TIMES

Former Governor of Kano, Ibrahim Shekarau
By Premium Times/ News Agency Of Nigeria

Ibrahim Shekarau, one of the founding members of APC, has moved to the PDP.

The immediate past governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Shekarau, has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Mr. Shekarau, backed by his supporters from the 44 local government areas of Kano, made the declaration at his Bompai GRA residence in Kano on Wednesday.

He said the decision is to satisfy the aspirations of the people of the state who felt left out from the APC.

“We intended with the merger to form a solid foundation for entrenchment of democracy,” Mr, Shekarau, the presidential candidate of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, in 2011, said.

“The Legacy Group sacrificed all interests for the merger, but for the past six months all agreements reached by the merged parties had not being met.
“No clear leaders, no registration of APC members at any levels. This shows a clear lack of commitment, transparency and accountability to all concerned,” he said.

The supporters participated in the declaration and affirmed the decision to defect to PDP.

Mr. Shekarau had last week met with a former Sokoto Governor and founding members of the APC, Attahiru Bafarawa, last week. Mr. Bafarawa has since decamped to the PDP. Both men accuse the APC of giving the party’s structures in their states to their current state governors who last year decamped to the APC from the PDP.

Routine wins for Nadal, Federer

Routine wins for Nadal, Federer

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer both recorded straight sets victories to advance to the third round of the Australian Open on Thursday.

Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer both recorded straight sets victories to advance to the third round of the Australian Open on Thursday.

On a day that saw play halted in Melbourne for more than four hours due to extreme heat, Nadal eased past local player Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-2 6-4 6-2, while Federer showed some scintillating form in the opening two sets before winning 6-2, 6-1, 7-6 (7/4) against Slovenia’s Blaz Kavcic.

The 17-year-old Kokkinakis reached the final of the junior Opens in Both Australia and the US last year, and underlined his undoubted talent by hitting 21 winners against the world number one.

Nevertheless, the Australian was unable to match Nadal’s power and fitness despite cheers from the rowdy fans at the Rod Laver Arena.

Federer was playing away from the Rod Laver Arena for the first time in 10 years and hit 52 winners in a highly entertaining match against the world number 99.

While Kavcic improved as the match went on, B Federer played the pressure points the better to finish well on top in front of an adoring crowd.

Joining the pair in the third round is Jo-Wilfred Tsonga, also needed only three sets to beat Thomaz Bellucci 7-6 6-4 6-4, while there were also second round victories for Kei Nishikori and Donald Young.

Several matches on the outer courts were interrupted as play was halted during the extreme heat in Melbourne and are yet to resume at the time of writing.

I have not resigned, says Tukur

Alhaji Bamanga Tukur: Image: Reuters

Embattled national chairman of PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, on Wednesday said he had not resigned his position as being speculated in the media.

Tukur spoke to State House correspondents on his arrival at the banquet hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for the party’s Board of Trustee (BOT) meeting.

“I am not somebody who will resign and you will not know. I have not resigned,” he said.

There were stories in the on line media that Tukur had bowed to pressure from various quarters to relinquish his position as the party’s national leader.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that before the arrival of Tukur at the Villa, there was a national caucus meeting of the leaders of the party presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan.

The meeting was attended by the Senate president, Sen. David Mark and his Deputy, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal and his Deputy, Mr Emeka Ihedioha.

Also in the meeting were the BOT Chairman, Chief Tony Anenih and other party leaders, excluding Tukur.

NAN reports that the President also met with some PDP governors before the BOT meeting.

The governors were, Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Theodore Orji (Abia), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta) and Ibrahim Shema (Katsina).

Governors ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa) and Ramalan Yero (Kaduna) also attended the meeting.

Suswam told State House correspondents after the governors’ meeting that the discussion was centred on the need to re-strategise and restore the dwindling glory of the party.

“The issues discuss with the president was basically on how to re-strategise and re-position our party and how to move forward as a party.

“The second meeting is the national caucus and I am not in the position to comment on that,” he said.

He said the meeting did not discuss the issue of resignation of Tukur.

Suswam said the decision on Tukur’s fate would be taken at the BOT and the National Executive Council meetings of the party on Thursday.

Nigeria: Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah Scrambles to Cover Up Certificate Forgery Scandal

d23c8-princess-stella-oduah1

Nigeria Aviation Minister Princess  Stella Oduah

Embattled Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, and her associates have spent the last several hours scrambling to clean up the minister’s biographies on the Internet, following allegations that she lied about her academic qualifications, PREMIUM TIMES can report today.

News website, SaharaReporters, had Monday quoted authorities at St. Paul’s College, where Mrs. Oduah claimed she studied for Bachelor and Masters degrees, as saying they did not award her an MBA at anytime as the university does not even have a graduate school or graduate programme.

The minister is yet to respond to the allegations. Efforts by PREMIUM TIMES to get her to comment for this story were unsuccessful.

Joe Obi, her special assistant on media, did not answer or return calls.

Yakubu Datti, the spokesperson of the aviation agencies, who usually speak for her, said he was not aware of the allegation against the minister, and that he would revert after consulting the minister. He is yet to do so as at the time of publishing this.

However, this newspaper has observed an attempt by the minister and her aides to revise her profiles on the web with a view to cleaning up any reference to St. Paul’s College in her history.

Already, Mrs. Oduah’s biography on the website of the Ministry of Aviation has been revised, with references to St. Paul’s College now wiped out.

“Oduah-Ogiemwonyi received her Bachelors and Masters Degree (in Accounting and Business Administration respectively) in the United States,” the new profile said of Mrs. Oduah’s education, without any reference to the university she attended.

The Wikipedia page of the minister has also been hurriedly edited, and it now has no reference to the university Mrs. Oduah attended.

All links and reference materials on the Wikipedia page capable of linking the minister to the university that has disowned her have also been deleted.

Even the minister’s personal website has been reviewed to remove any reference to St. Paul’s College.

While the links leading to Mrs. Oduah’s foundation and photographs remain active, the other principal link, which should lead to her history page, has been deactivated.

It’s unclear whether it was being edited at the backend when PREMIUM TIMES visited the site.

Mrs. Oduah had in a resume she presented to the Senate as a ministerial nominee in 2011 indicated that she obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from St. Paul’s College Lawrenceville, Virginia, United States.

But SaharaReporters quoted the President of the college as saying his university had never in its 125-year history had a graduate school or graduate program.

The Provost Vice President of Academic Affairs, and the Vice President of Institutional Development said in response to the website’s inquiries, “We don’t offer any graduate programs here.”

The school’s website also indicates clearly that Saint Paul’s College awards only baccalaureate [bachelor’s] degrees.

It is not clear yet whether the minister received an undergraduate degree from the college as she claimed. SaharaReporters said Dr. Claud Flythe, the college’s current president was unable to confirm that claim because the college had been closed since June 2013 after it lost accreditation.

Mrs. Oduah had since October being enmeshed in a a N255million armoured cars scandal in which she was accused of compelling an agency under her supervision, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, to buy her two exotic bullet cars at clearly inflated prices.

The purchase of the cars generated outrage for weeks because its cost was inflated, and it was neither listed in the government-approved budget nor did it comply with the Nigeria’s public procurement law.

The House of Representatives has since asked President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the minister but the president has failed to act.

Premier League: Garth Crooks’s Team of the Week

Garth Crooks' team of the week
By Garth Crooks Football Analyst

Manchester City smashed six goals past a stubborn Arsenal in the tremendous encounter at the Etihad, while neighbours Manchester United took all three points in a very professional performance at Villa Park.

Chelsea went second in the table after a nervy performance against Crystal Palace but Liverpool made life extremely difficult for Tottenham’s Andre Villas-Boas after another humiliating defeat at White Hart Lane.

Take a look at my team of the week and see if you agree with my selections.

GOALKEEPER – COSTEL PANTILIMON (Manchester City)

Manchester City goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon

I could have taken the easy option and gone with Simon Mignolet who kept a clean sheet but hardly had a shot to save at Spurs. But I find myself selecting a keeper who had three goals put past him. The save from Jack Wilshere was top drawer and the Romanian’s overall performance gives you some indication that Arsenal had a real go at City.

Did you know? Since taking over from Joe Hart in November, only three keepers – Tim Howard and Julian Speroni (5) and Tim Krul (6) – have conceded fewer goals than Pantilimon (7), of keepers to feature in all seven games.

DEFENDER – JON FLANAGAN (Liverpool)

Liverpool's Jon Flanagan

The look of delight on the young man’s face said it all. His first goal for his club in the Premier League and Liverpool’s third on the night exposed a Tottenham team and a manager who once again appeared out of their depth.

Did you know? Flanagan’s goal was his first for Liverpool in the Premier League.

DEFENDER – PHIL JONES (Manchester United)

Manchester United defender Phil Jones

How refreshing to see Phil Jones playing at centre half and in his most favoured position. Against Aston Villa he looked as solid as a rock. In my view it is time that Jones told David Moyes that centre back is his best position and that’s where he intends to stay and if Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand don’t like it, tough.

Did you know? Jones made 13 clearances for United against Villa, more than any player in the match.

DEFENDER – MARTIN SKRTEL (Liverpool)

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel

At the heart of the defence Skrtel looked commanding and at times quite imposing. The fact that Spurs were abject is neither here nor there. Skrtel looked the business.

Did you know? Only three players (Ben Turner, Phil Jagielka and Jonas Olsson) have made more clearances in the Premier League this season than Skrtel (142).

DEFENDER – PABLO ZABALETA (Manchester City)

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta

It was the best first touch I’ve seen from a full back in years. His second touch which resulted in the pass for Alvaro Negredo to score City’s second wasn’t bad either. I haven’t seen an attacking display quite like it since the great City captain Tony Book left the stage. Even Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere was left frustrated and dejected by the imperious nature of Zabaleta’s performance.

Did you know? Only Aaron Ramsey has made more assists from open play this season (6) than Pablo Zabaleta (5).

MIDFIELDER – FERNANDINHO (Manchester City)

Manchester City's Fernandinho

I saw this lad produce some fantastic performances for Shakhtar Donetsk last season and it looks like the Brazilian is beginning to find his feet and the back of the net for Manchester City. Fernandinho, along with Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri and David Silva completes an impressive midfield quartet for City, who on the day simply outplayed Arsenal. Sometimes in a football match you just have to accept that the opposition was better than you on the day. And this was one of those days.

Did you know? Fernandinho is the fifth Brazilian to score for Man City in the Premier League, after Robinho, Jo, Elano and Geovanni.

MIDFIELDER – JORDAN HENDERSON (Liverpool)

Liverpool's Jordan Henderson

This lad has taken some flak since he joined Liverpool from Sunderland but, all credit to the young man, he has now made the transition from a raw prodigious talent into the finished article. Against Spurs he caused them all sorts of problems and crowned his performance with a well-taken goal.

Did you know? The Liverpool midfielder misplaced just five passes against Spurs, completing 58 out of 63.

MIDFIELDER – WAYNE ROONEY (Manchester United)

Manchester United's Wayne Rooney

He simply ran the show at Villa Park. He was imperious and without equal. He created the third goal for Tom Cleverley and caused problems for the Aston Villa players throughout.

Did you know? Rooney has been involved in seven of United’s last 10 goals away from home (scoring four, assisting three) in the Premier League.

MIDFIELDER – DANNY WELBECK (Manchester United)

Manchester United's Danny Welbeck

For a player who is not considered to be a natural goal scorer, he buried two goals against Aston Villa that looked very natural to me. To be fair, with no Robin van Persie, Welbeck filled the vacancy with a touch of panache.

Did you know? Welbeck scored his second brace of the campaign; he now has four Premier League goals this season, but only managed one last term.

FORWARD – SERGIO AGUERO (Manchester City)

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero

What a finish by the little Argentine assassin. Aguero’s volley set the tone and tempo for a breathtaking City performance. How ironic that Manchester City have a foreign manager who insists on winning the Premier League title playing a traditional English formation with four in midfield and two strikers. It’s wonderful to see Manuel Pellegrini prepared to set his formation to suit the strengths of his players and then tell good players to go and play and not be paralysed by tactics.

Did you know? Sergio Aguero has scored eight goals in his last seven appearances at the Etihad Stadium.

FORWARD – LUIS SUAREZ (Liverpool)

Liverpool's Luis Suarez

All credit to Brendan Rodgers who clearly has a very special relationship with Luis Suarez in order to keep him at Anfield when a player of his calibre should be playing Champions League. Against Spurs he didn’t just terrorise them he did it with consummate ease.

Did you know? The Uruguayan has scored more goals than 10 of the 20 Premier League teams this season, including Spurs (15).

Underperforming state power firm scrapped

power: Image: Sunday Alamba/Associated Press

The Federal Government has formally scrapped its inefficient and graft-ridden electricity firm and handed its assets to private investors in a bid expected to improve power supplies.

The investors who have become beneficiaries of the privatisation drive include Seoul-based Korea Electric Power Corporation as well as local investors.

“The PHCN (Power Holding Company of Nigeria) has essentially ceased to exist,” Power Minister Chinedu Nebo said at a brief ceremony while handing over the Abuja (power) Distribution Company to its new owner.

“We now have distribution, generation and transmission companies. So, it is no longer PHCN,” Nebo said.

The privatisation of PHCN has long been in the works in Nigeria, where blackouts occur multiple times daily despite the country’s status as the continent’s largest oil producer.

From PHCN, the government has created 18 successor firms comprising 11 for electricity distribution, 6 for power generation and one for transmission.

Nigeria has portrayed the privatisation of electricity generation and distribution as a reform capable of finally bringing steady power supplies to the country, where businesses are forced to rely on diesel or petrol generators to cope.

President Goodluck Jonathan in September handed over operating licences to investors for most of the companies created from the splitting up of the PHCN after payment of a total sum of about $2.5 billion.

The government will retain ownership of the national grid, but privatise its management. Canada’s Manitoba Hydro International was named as its manager for three years in 2012.

The privatisation of telecommunications in Nigeria is generally credited with bringing improved service and accessibility to the country.

However, critics have expressed concerns that many of the bidders for power assets have been politically connected barons in Nigeria and questioned whether the assets will be properly managed.
